After reading Pronet Advertising’s post “Making Your Content Del.icio.us” I wanted to place an “Add to Del.icio.us” link in my feeds. It took some searching but I finally found out how to add it to my Feedburner feeds. I also noticed that Pronet Advertising had a link at the bottom of their RSS entitled “Consulting from Pronet Advertising.” Not to be outdone, I wanted my own custom “Hire Pop Stalin Design” link at the bottom of my RSS feeds. Here’s how to do it.
Feedburner has a tool on their site called “FeedFlare Scratchpad” and this is where the testing for your feed can be done once it’s created. Below is an example of code I used to accomplish this.
<FeedFlareUnit>
<Catalog>
<Title>Title for Flare Item</Title>
<Description>Description for Flare Item</Description>
</Catalog>
<FeedFlare>
<Text>Text that will appear in your feed</Text>
<Link href="http://www.yourlinkhere.com/"/>
</FeedFlare>
</FeedFlareUnit>
Save the above as a XML file in your favorite text editor, upload to your Feedburner FeedFlare page and voilà—a custom link in your RSS feeds. There are many more things you can do with it that I don’t understand but maybe you will! Have fun!

hi, glad you are happy with our services…
one thing i want to point out - if you just want to add a static link to your feed, check out eric’s (our cto) instructions on how to simply and easily create your own without having to create xml documents
then, use your feedflare to:
* cross-promote another property.
* run a house promotion.
* create aStore in Amazon.
* sell a sponsored text link., etc…
let me know if you have any questions…and, thanks again for using feedburner..
ps - you can use feedflare on your site as well. and, the javascript you add to embed the links also enables us to offer blog site stats at the same time.
