I know there are many Digg-like sites out there, some more popular than others but I thought I’d pass on this tip to anyone looking to promote their blog by using this service, Blogg-Buzz.com. This site could end up being a good SEO source because it provides backlinks to your site without adding the “rel=nofollow” tag. If the site ever takes off you could have yourself a fairly good source for backlinks. Of course, it could just turn into a link farm and then you have links from a “bad neighborhood” but it’s worth the effort at this point to take a look at this fledgling site.

Mac Users Beware

One issue I noticed immediately with Blogg-Buzz is that when they say alpha, they mean alpha. For example, I couldn’t register on the site with Firefox on Mac but I could in Safari but in Safari, the registration form bumps itself towards the bottom of the page. If they’re going to have any kind of success, they’re going to need to fix that.

Thanks for the heads up. As a Mac user, I’ll take note. I use Camino (from the Firefox folks) so we’ll show it goes.
