  • Gridding the 960:
Background image grid + pixel ruler + column divisions for 960px-width layout, all in one mean little package.
  • Forget “best”, aim for “worst”?:
Having the courage to ask “What’s the worst possible site we could create for our project?”
  • How to organize your cluttered desktop and regain your sanity:
I’ve always been known as the messy kid, so it’s no surprise that zillions of random files and folders often litter my desktop. Every time I clear my desktop, it gets congested again a few days later, each icon reminding me how much I suck at organizing. What I lack is a system.
  • Creating prototypes with OmniGraffle:
A few months ago a few colleagues asked me if I could turn a design document into a low-fi clickable prototype to demonstrate interaction design on an application we were developing. I also talked to an IA recently who had the same need to demonstrate interaction, but lamented over the tools at our disposal.
  • Wrestling Stars from the 50’s:
Plan59, “If there’s one thing a Web site devoted to mid-century illustration isn’t complete without, it’s … a gallery of 1950s pro wrestling stars.”

About Me

My name’s Jen; I’m a cynical, sarcastic, ex-drummer who is fond of dark humor. I've held way too many factory & retail jobs but finally found my calling one Christmas holiday in a dark, musty basement. I am now a CSS & XHTML web standards looney and can be found daily—when I’m not at my Mac—at the local fair-trade coffee shop buying an iced-soy mocha no matter the temperature.

I am also the owner of Pop Stalin Design specializing in CSS & XHTML web design as well as custom WordPress themes.
